Linda
I was asked to show some of my watercolor paintings. Jessica is one of my favorites. I painted her during a class by Ted Nuttal. We needed some photo's to work from and I hadn't brought any. I asked Jessica, who was about 13 and helping her mother with the workshops, if I could take her picture. It was spur of the moment but I always thought I caught her at an interesting age, with the slightly disheveled look of a pre-teen.

The following three paintings were painted in Glacier National Park. My aunt Germaine and I went there the end of June. She was painting for the Hockaday - Plen Air Paint Out in Glacier Park and I went along to paint with her. It was different to paint Mt Cannon while standing by the road. Lot's of tourists going by, but after awhile I forgot that they were there and just enjoyed the experience. At Polebridge we had fun painting, a beautiful day and a delicious lunch from the Polebridge Mercantile bakery. The Lake McDonald picture was painted on a lovely morning and followed by a downpour in the afternoon. We had to put the paints up and go out to Eddy's Cafe and have lunch. I enjoyed myself as I used to work at Eddy's when I was only 21. I hope you enjoy the paintings as much as I enjoyed painting them.

I thought I'd post my entry in the Oil Painters of America Show. This is a first for me. I'll comment if it is accepted. Yesterday my aunt and I went to Kalispell and brought some work to a gallery there. I had three pieces accepted and my aunt had five. The gallery is owned by Jake Russell, a very nice man. The Gallery is called Montana Frameworks and Gallery. If you should find yourself there stop in and visit.

Blogging may very well do me in. Yesterday I had a computer meltdown, today I'm braving the blog world again and trying to get out my art work. I'm one of those artists that would be extremely happy just painting.
No one ever told me that to be an artist you need degrees in computer science, photography and business, but, they would help. I tip my hat to those of you who have done all this and come out the other side successful and sane. So, as I launch please be kind.
My aunt and I (Germaine Trenary -who already blogs) traveled to France to paint. A trip of a life time. My first painting I am posting is from La Barroux where we took a class. Awesome!
